COURSE DESCRIPTION

Educational Consulting And Advisory Services is an Arizona Certified Approved SEI Course Provider.  This 45 Hour SEI Endorsement Completion course has been approved by the Arizona Department of Education’s Office of English Language Acquisition Services (OELAS) to enable classroom teachers, administrators, and other certified personnel to provide differentiated instruction for students whose native language is other than English.

Closing the proficiency gap is contingent on teachers having the skills and knowledge necessary to instruct EL students.  In this SEI training course you will learn how to articulate a clear vision for student success that includes high expectations for EL student achievement and social-emotional development.

You will explore interactive, research-proven strategies that supports success including: integrated and targeted ELD,  SEI classroom set-up/management, aligned standard lesson planning,  integrated and targeted and language instruction,  assessments,  support and monitoring for English Learners.

At ECAAS we support and teach all areas for building strong EL programs which include evidence-based teaching and approaches  to compliance within district and state mandates. You will learn to develop PD’s are based on relevancy to their context to help plan and improve instruction, teacher-driven/staff-driven, interactive, hands on,  applicable and sustainable best practices over time.

We offer Sheltered English Immersion Endorsements to all Core Academic Teachers (early childhood, elementary, English, reading, language arts, mathematics, science, civics and government, economics, history, and geography) and administrators who are required to maintain an SEI endorsement.

Successful completion of this course fulfills the requirements for the SEI Completion Endorsement.
